Solid Clams!

I  think this is a rock with some clam-fossils in it.When I found this fossil it was very exiting for me because I had never found a fossil before. II found this fossil at Sarawak Beach about 2 years ago.

    That is absolutely a clam fossil! It is between 350 and 450 million years old. There are lots of good places to find clam fossils in Ontario, particularly anywhere there is exposed limestone or shale rock. Next time you are at the cottage, keep an eye out for more clams.
